The station Schwarzereden is located between Schwarzereden and Reichweiler right next to the former Industriewerke Saar (IWS) (today belonging to Diehl DSL). From the highway exit number 6 (Reichweiler, Oberkirchen) of highway A62 (Landstuhl-Trier) it is only 300mtr. to the station.

The Ostertal-platform at track 4 in the station Ottweiler is only reachable from the main station (DB) via the pedestrian bridge crossing train and A-Road B420. The platform of Ostertalbahn is not reachable from the underpass to platform 2 in the station.
